Punches and or Dies

Today I did a crazy spur of the moment thing...I took son to cut his hair and ended up cutting mine as well! Not that crazy you must be saying, but it is a a bit really, as hubby likes long hair and me looooves very short hair and to please him I keep it long but today well, I just chopped off about 6 inches from it and didn't tell him that I would be doing this  : |   I wonder what he will say now when he sees me..  .. fingers crossed he will like it he he : D ... I do ..

Anyway, I have a card to show you now for today's new challenge at Crafty Sentiments.
The theme for this week is PUNCHES AND/OR DIES

For my card today I decided to use this really sweet rubber stamp Yummy Treat, which I coloured with my promarkers. I used quite a few punches and dies today, the border die from Crafty Sentiments  ... yes, second time I am using it this week, I loved it so much, the rose and oval dies are Marianne, then I also used two punches, the leaf and the corner one on the sentiment.

Ooops and here's me now with my shorter haircut he he

The winner this week will win three digis from the store.

And here are my challenges now

Twins

Last year, when Lili of the Valley had a sale and free postage I grabbed the opportunity and got me some of their sweet stamps. This is one of the stamps that I bought...I thought it was perfect for this week's theme over there.... and a perfect excuse to ink it up as well!!

A clean layout today with some gingham paper, which I was inspired to use by another challenge over at CES.

I coloured the sweet image with my promarkers ...

The ribbon is one of those sticky ones from Anita's, while this super gorgeous border die is from Crafty Sentiments. I thought the hearts pop outs from the die were so sweet that I decided to stick them on the card as well.

I would like to enter my card in these challenges today.

Candy

----- Candy is now closed and winner has been announced here -----

Hello I'm back ... but with some candy now... Well finally!!
I was saying last week that I would be having some candy to celebrate my 400 + Followers.. but it's also my Blogaversary next week .. yay my second one woo hoo :)  Can you tell me when it is ?? It is so fun looking back at my first post. I didn't how to do anything and even how to set up my blog address, so it was generated automatically and so that is how my blog address came out so funny woops !!

Anyway, so here is what I am offering and I will be adding some die cuts as well.
I hope you like it and will join in.

As always, the candy is open to my followers,  new followers will be able to join in future candies.
Just leave your name with Mr Linky down below and thank you so much for your support.

I will leave it open for one month from today.

Use a Digi with OSAAT

Hello good morning everyone. Hope you are having a nice Sunday.. I am, yay hubby is back :) .. came late last night and he brought loads of stuff as well.. some clothes, and then some crafty goodies too he he.. just some simple stuff from the stationers as he couldn't find any specialized craft shops but hey I love anything crafty woot woot  : D

So onto my card now, which is my DT Card today for today's new challenge at One Stitch At A Time. The theme for today is USE A DIGI and it's also Collab Week this week again !!

The image that I got to use this week is this beautiful silhouette, Oriental Beauty, from Floppy Latte Designs. Luckily I found me some oriental themed papers in my stash which were magazine freebies... and even the fans were in one of the papers as there were four different papers in the set. I cut these out from the other paper and mounted them on black card and then cut around them and popped them up with foam.

I love how it turned out, even though I didn't do any colouring ... it's good to try something different !!

These are the images for this week's Collab Week, so you will get all these images free with any purchase of $7.00, including the one I used.
The sponsor this week is Stitchy Bear Store and the prize is the Collab digis.

Strike

It is hubby's birthday next month and I still hadn't even given a thought to this and so, like last year, was probably going to leave it to the last minute ... but lucky me, while blog hopping around last week, I came across a fantastic image at Pinky's, which was just perfect for him as he is an avid bowler. Well, I just had to do it straight away, him being abroad at the moment was the perfect time to do it.

The image is from The Crafty Pad, paper from We R Memory Keepers paper pad, which was free in the magazine Simply Cards & Papercraft and stars are Die-Namics. I did the 'STRIKE' word on a Word Document and then coloured it with my promarkers. The Happy Birthday one is a clear stamp.

A close-up of the image, which I printed an extra three times and had so much fun cutting it and layering it up for dimension.

Wow.. so I'm nearly a month early with his card this year yay : D

Purple and Pink

Hello, good morning everyone. Hope weather is nice wherever you are. This is a scheduled post today as not sure if I'll have time after work. Hubby had to go to London on work today, and won't be back before Saturday evening, so I'm going to be a bit busy this week.... I wonder if he will find some crafty goodies to get me : D

Will see will see ; )
So my card now.... a PURPLE AND PINK one for the new challenge at I ♥ Promarkers.

We are this week sponsored by Digi Doodles Shop's Best so all the girls today are using one of the gorgeous images in the store. I decided to use this sweetie, Birdie Birdie and made a Birthday Card... coloured of course with my promarkers, adding some glitter on the centre of the flowers.

The background paper of Kate Knight were a free gift in a magazine, while the one on the side is Papermania.

This is the sketch that I followed to do my card today.

Lace and Pins

I survived a dentist appointment yesterday, and I was a good girl too .. he he I didn't cancel  : P   ...  I hate that whizzing sound and well, I hate all that happens in there!!!

But on to something nicer now.. my DT card for today which I made for this week's new challenge at Crafty Sentiments. The theme for this week is LACE AND PINS.

For my card today I am using another gorgeous stamp from this month's newest release Love and Romance, He Loves Me. I coloured her with my promarkers, and then glittered up her hair as well.

The centre and leaf dies are Marianne, paper were in this month's Quick Cards magazine, the gorgeous quilled flowers were in a candy I won from Cebelica and for lace I used my Martha Stewart lacey border punch.

The winner as always will win some of the gorgeous digis from the store.

Embossing a straight line without a score board

I've had so much interest on my embossing tip from yesterday here .. thank you so much .... BIG SMILE :D ... that I was suggested to upload some photos to explain myself better.. so here goes..........

This is the CD Box that I used.

You will use the groove on the inside of the CD box and of course you need an embossing tool.

Place the card right-side facing down as in the picture,  holding it tight. Start embossing the line..

........ slowly and lightly at first until you find the groove ... embossing down til the end.

When you do all the line you can go back up and down for a second or third time until the line is raised enough.

Repeat this for all sides.

Here is my card again which I did using this method to emboss a straight line.

Hope you like it and find it useful.

Thank you for looking today.

Wishing you a lovely Sunday

White on White

I had computer problems yesterday.. and big ones too... I was just about to print off some digis when poof .. electricity went off! That was ok .. I said, or thought so..... but that was not ok, because when it finally came back and I switched it on again, it said that a system file was corrupted and of course, didn't switch on! So I called hubby and he said that it was possible that we could have lost everything!! Aaaah my worst nightmare. .... so you can imagine how I spent the rest of the day waiting for him to come home.. which is always so late! Anyway, the good thing was that I didn't lose anything phew.. false alarm, but it was a tough job to fix it, because he stayed til late working on it and going online for help and he says he still needs to work on it....

.. lesson from this......... backup !!! Yes do it because this could happen to anyone and so easily too.

I have something to celebrate now ...400 + Followers woo hoo I couldn't believe it this morning and the + too wow! Thank you everyone for making this happen and a big warm welcome to my newest followers too. It is lovely to have you joining me, this means a lot to me. So obviously celebration means candy .... which I will be doing that next week.. so keep a look out woo hoo : )

Ok so onto my card now.... I have a WHITE ON WHITE card today for the newest challenge at Sweet Stampin. I have to admit that I found this challenge really so tough, especially too since it's been such a long time since I did one of these... but then finally I did it and am really so glad I persisted, because I loved how it turned out.

Used one of my LOTV images today, thought a wedding card would be ideal for this theme. Coloured it with my promarkers and then added glitter on her dress and flowers. Doesn't show much though.

The sentiment is from a Forever Friends stamp set, as I couldn't find the LOTV ones that came with the set!!! .. .. yes 'lost'! Hope I find it soon!

... and I have a tip now for the TOP TIP TUESDAY - if you don't have one of those boards with which you emboss lines, use the groove of a CD box when it's open. I still haven't got me one of those boards, but I find this works just fine when you need to emboss just one line like I did on my card here. Hope you like  my tip :)

We are this week sponsored by Bunny Zoes

The dies are Marianne Creatables, border punch is Martha Stewart, Thank You sentiment from Just Wordz and the little bunny stamp is a clear stamp from another stamp set that I have... I thought it was perfect with my little girl stamp :)
